About -9C and incredibly relaxed – exemplary conditions. As usual, rather than establish a special rig to "collect" single flakes, we shot the snow "in situ", because it fell down.

Pentax-M 150mm F/3.5 (@F/8) plus reversed Sigma 24-70mm F/3.5-5.6 zoom (@F/13). It was using zoom around 35mm, therefore framework is about 5.5mm large.

Flakes In-Situ (4 Feb 2014) number 2

Simply a dusting of snowfall today, with almost perfect conditions at -10C no wind. Many gorgeous flakes! As is becoming my modus operandi, the flakes had been shot in-situ, now on the railing of this front side stairs. This chance reveals how different angles significantly replace the means flakes appear in pictures – with one flake "popping" whilst reflects the majority of the light, even though the other happens mostly transparent.

Shot handheld with my Poor Man’s MP-E: Pentax-M 135mm F/3.5 plus a reversed Tamron Adaptal 28-70mm F/3.5-4.5 (159A), and my home made onboard flash diffuser. (Oh, and I forgot the digital camera was at 4:3 mode…)
